February 27, 2023 - Deep dark garnet with clearing at the edges. Full, forward & fragrant nose of ripe fruit aromas of cherries, strawberries & red currants with overtones of floral notes of roses & earthy/dusty notes, tar, tobacco, minerals, olives, anise, herbs, & a hint of cedar in the background. Medium-full bodied with a good concentration of well balanced & smooth textured, ripe fruit flavors of cherries, cranberries & red currants with herbs, cocoa, some spices and a touch of minerals. Lingering finish. Drinks quite well at present & at 23 years of age, it may continue to hold at this stage of development for a few more years although any further development would be minimal. Fill was well within the neck; cork was clean & intact.

    August 29, 2022 - from Magnum
beautiful wine which has many years ahead of it still. very perfumed floral (rose) nose. On the palate, great freshness, plum, dried fruit (the kind you cant stop eating), and still remarkably tannic. Moccagatta somehow slipped off my radar over the past decade; I plan to rectify

April 25, 2021 - Holding up very nicely , this was a better pop and pour smooth and nuanced , as 10 hours later was very very tannic.

October 23, 2018 - Excellent wine. Complex, still vibrant acidity and fruit character. One great example on why to age wines.
