Community Tasting Notes 5

August 28, 2021 - Medium garnet colored, brighter towards the edge. Soft nose of leather, forest floor, dry red fruits. On the palate mainly tertiary notes like forest floor and tobacco too - just a few fruit notes left. Medium bodied with a medium acidity. Tannins are soft and fully integrated. Good balance but lacking of complexity and structure in this late drinking phase. Medium long finish.
Always interesting to try these difficult Bordeaux vintages but unfortunately this is already past its climax - so drink up soon. (IG)

June 9, 2013 - Very dark cherry red, barely giving away its age. Intensive nose of cedar and liquorish. Nice concentrated mouthfeel without being heavy, very balanced, savoury flavours, not much fruit. Opening a little with time. The length was a bit disappointing. If I'd open another one of these, I'd try decanting despite the age. Overall very nice, but no revelation.

September 29, 2012 - Dark transparent garnet ruby. The nose is restrained and earthy with undergrowth and herbs. Fading fruit and rough tannins on the palate. Quite rustic finish.

March 4, 2010 - Cork had leaked at one point; surprisingly good despite that flaw.
