    January 28, 2018 - Medium garnet colour.
Nose: Earthy and slight funky notes (leather, farmyard, horse stables). Under this lie some darker and mature fruity notes; dark plum, black currant, blueberry, paprika, black pepper and a hint of dark chocolate. Slightly rustic but nice. (84p)
Taste: Mature, dry, slightly astringent, medium fruitiness, earthy notes here too. (82p)
At 16 years this wine is past its peak but still drinks nicely. It went very well with a tomato based lamb casserole, which really uncovered the wine’s hidden fruity sweetness. And that’s what I think it does best; accompany food. Total score: 85 points (86 with and 83 without food)

September 4, 2011 - Early funk mellows and disappears after 30 minutes in the glass. Enjoyable thereafter.

May 21, 2011 - Tasted delicious accompanied by a tenderloin with pommes noisettes, root vegetables, and red wine sauce!
Maybe it had lost some of the fruit, but it was still a joyable company.

July 21, 2010 - Healthy cork, well cellared. Still good evidence of fruit, little terroir. Peaking now.

May 6, 2007 - One bottle had a very dry cork but it tasted as good as the other one. Round and nice.
