February 15, 2023 - Delicious. Had the 2006 version of this ~10 years ago but this was much more memorable and enjoyable, likely due to the age. Expectations were high and this wine delivered and drove the point home that I don't have enough Brunello. PNP with venturi into the glass. Minor bricking, tannins intact and lovely nose. Tart fruit with grippy tannins gave way to luxurious mouth coating rich fruit with food. No need to hurry to drink this, I think that CT chronically has conservative (early) drink by dates. It -may- be peaking now. Wish I had more. Enjoyed with sausage and peppers, tomato sauce on top of pasta. 28.73 on Garagiste April 2012. Re-reading his offer thru today's lens, I would have done a hard pass but 10 years ago I bit and glad I did.

August 12, 2022 - Drinking really well. Cloudy ruby, with some bricking. Dark cherries, plum, blackberries, spice, leather, tobacco, minerals. Smooth and silky. Wish I bought more than a couple at $28 and this was the last one.

December 19, 2021 - Dark purple with a bit of bricking. Leather, plum, blackberry nose. Nice complexity, smooth, supple. Very good finish, nicely balanced fruit and tannins. Agree that this is in a very good drinking window right now. I did not get this, but - "smells like a green twig" Ei
