June 1, 2021 - Completely integrated. Everything is hanging on but you can tell the fruit is about to show itself the door.
For so much Cab Franc I was surprised there wasn’t more noticeable green peppers etc. Instead it was more the whiff you may get when someone else at the table orders a sizzling plate of fajitas.
Ripe dark berries, black cherry, charcoal briquette, raspberry coulis, mushroom.

November 29, 2020 - Absolutely floored by this ... Love when I can get my hands on early Realm wines, and this was no exception! On tasting the first word that comes to mind is 'fresh', as if it was just released ... I've had wines a decade younger that weren't on the same level of freshness. Dark ruby at the core with only a hint of fading at the rim. Blue fruits (black cherry) dominated both on the notes and on the palate, but there were definitely some red fruits vying for attention as well. Nice dusty tannins and good acidity tells me that this has many years ahead. Day 2 = Day 1.

PSA - took heed of previous taster's note on cork coming apart, and used a durand. Glad I did as I could see the same thing happening to mine.

November 13, 2020 - I am not a big Cab Franc guy but this iwne is in a beautiful phase now. No green pepper, lush berries light to no tannins. Drink this winter comfortably

November 2, 2020 - Fantastic. Elegant aging gracefully. Sadly last bottle though moving into its secondary aging period

May 19, 2020 - Home with some carnitas, needed something "bold" to pair with them...been a few years since last bottle. Cork broke/crumbled on the way out, strained and decanted for about 30 minutes, drank over an hour.

Dark, inky garnet. Nose showing dark berries, cherry, licorice. Palate of dark berries, blue fruits, savory, smoke(?), leather and earth notes. Persistent through the mid palate with some sweetness showing. Medium weight and finish.

In a great spot right now. I have bee skeptical of Calif Cab Franc but this one is really nice and seems to be going the distance...Would drink remaining bottles in the next 5 years
