July 25, 2019 - Cotes de Bordeaux Trip; 7/23/2019-7/27/2019: Nose of tart currants, complex notes of clove, graphite, scorched earth, violets. Suave and fresh on the palate, velvety yet solid tannins. Plums, tart currants, lovely vibrancy and freshness to the fruit, with subtle leaves, pepper and earth notes. Holding well, lots of time left ahead.

July 9, 2019 - Warm, unbalanced, simply not tasty. Too much bitters and some hard tannins at the back, seems tired - no finish, no depth

July 2, 2019 - Deep garnet in the glass. Still going strong with the primary fruit, but is also showing serious development - caramelized coffee, dried cherry/plum and tobacco. Some floral elements on the palate. Soft, easy-drinking, but showing waaaay more development then expected. Lacks depth and finish, but still has a firm structure to keep it going for a few more years.

June 14, 2019 - Definitely drinking nicely, perfect wine for when you have a thirst for a distinctly good claret but don't want to spend a fortune. I only spent $17 and I see it is twice that now. Lovely claret with the slight negative of bitter tannins in the finish. That bitter note fades completely with a steak.

October 30, 2018 - Still developing, but almost at the peak I would say 2-3 years more. Great flavors and good balance, the gripping tannin is still there but now is more palette cleansing than bitter. Perfect with a steak
