August 23, 2015 - This cab was fairly simple and I am not sure if it ever had any complexity to its taste which may have been the case when the wine was in its prime. Having said that it was not too dry, nor were the tannins bitter, it lasted two hours which was long enough for us to finish the bottle and complimented a steak dinner just fine.

September 17, 2011 - Medium red-garnet. Nose of aged oak, black currants, tapenade, hit of vinegar. Low tannin, low acidity. Moderate cherry-berry fruit, mildly herbal elements and low acids make this a somewhat simple tipple, one which drank easily with next cheesy potatoes , beef tenderloins and herbed butters. Bottle #4 of four.

July 25, 2010 - Dark red. Aromas of raw beef, balsalmic vinegar, stewed cherry, tar, Spanish squid ink. Tastes round and at full maturity, cherry fruit and old wood. Finishes sweet. Bottle #3 of four. Drink up.

August 24, 2008 - Pig Roast (Solace): Dark and very, very sweet-tasting, but nothing else going on.

March 7, 2007 - Backstreet - California Cabernets (Backstreet Wine Salon, Phoenix, AZ): Earthy, cola. Showing older than the '85. Nice balance, but a little flat on the finish.
