June 17, 2021 - Youthful straw yellow color. Orchard fruit and mineral notes with a floral honeysuckle overtone. Full-bodied yet light, with flavors of orchard fruit, mineral and citrus. This is firing on all cylinders right now.

March 9, 2021 - Even at 10+ years old, this age-worthy, no-malo chard drank beautifully last night at our regular wine group dinner at Two Chefs. Everyone agreed it paired wonderfully with the second course of mahi mahi on top of a potato pancake and caramelized fennel. Initially when I pulled it from the cellar, I was apprehensive about how it would show considering its age. But after decanting, I knew the yellow straw color, ripe citrusy nose and lemony flavor that this would be a treat. The eight other members of the group agreed it was a winner. I have one bottle of the 2010 left to enjoy before moving to to the 2011s.

March 1, 2021 - Delicious Chardonnay. Nicely rounded fruit with perfect balance and subtle length. Light creaminess on the finish but very nice acid balance and depth. Burgundian style; just delicious with a chicken bouillabaisse!

February 13, 2021 - Very light nose, with whiff of caramel and perhaps dog urine. No zip whatsoever on the palate and a waxy, very off-putting finish. Premoxed.

December 24, 2020 - Bright medium lemon yellow color. Nose is very minerally along with lemon, citrus peel and a touch of white peach. Nice medium(+) acidity and good texture/mouthfeel. Flavors reflect the nose with excellent depth and length. Glorious finish, better as it gets more air. Nicely balanced and still very young in every respect...well celebrated this has 5+ years of peak drinking ahead.

September 12, 2020 - One of the best Chardonnays I’ve tasted.
It smells great, like a green apple pie, bright and a little citrus-y. The palate is very nice, very smooth, with classic Chardonnay flavors of apple and kiwi, and a lovely finish that leaves the palate refreshed.

August 21, 2020 - Similar to last bottle two months ago although slightly more advanced due to bottle variation. Medium yellow. Citrus, earth, floral and with a faint hint of almond that older California Chardonnays get. Really drinking well right now and I wouldn’t hold much longer.

June 6, 2020 - Tasted semi blind among 2010 Ch Montelena Chardonnay Estate, 2010 Kumeu River Mates vineyard, 2016 Paul Pillot Chassagne Caillerets and 2009 Javillier Corton Charlemagne all four from Coravin pours.
Fresh citrus and apple nose. Filling and mouth coating. Good fruit, some vanilla flavors, slightly bitter. Good acidity and great balance apart from some warmt but not disturbingly so. Obviously a lot better than the last bottle.
