March 5, 2024 - For some reason, this wine has entered a closed phase of its existence. Tannic. Austere. Completely closed down. I did not get a chance to decant prior to dinner with a friend at Franklin Ave., so maybe that would have helped. But right now, I would sit on this wine for another 5-10 years.

December 26, 2023 - Dekantert. Stort behag fra andre glass, første var klart ute av balanse. Dette blåste av. Ikke stor, men behag. Ikke behag dag 2 og dag 3.

October 29, 2023 - Big nose of dark fruit, a little vanilla and some wood. Similar in palate but disjointed and sharp. However, after 2 or 3 hrs decant, round, velvety fruit and nice balance but always a bit hot. Big wine. Good - just decant it.

April 25, 2023 - Popped 1 hr before we started approaching this.
Muted, tight and very firm for the first 2-3 hrs.
Then it began to reveal plenty of dark fruit, plum, cassis laced with smoke, nuances of graphite & delicious oak.
Palate; dense and grippy with chalky tannins. Felt the layers and structure lacks cohesiveness and a bit linear towards the end.2 people found this helpful Comment -

February 21, 2023 - Vertical and Lunch with Chateau Troplong Mondot - Singapore 2023: Unsurprisingly, a far weaker nose compared to the 2010 tried before. Hard tannis, under ripe blackberry and stems. Developing tertiary notes which are beginning to poke through. Short finish.
