December 23, 2020 - Black red. Mushrooms on the nose. Chewy tannins, plum, cherry and oak. Hint of vanilla. Very dry. Really good with food.

December 17, 2020 - Luncheon style. A little dry and ungenerous. Reasonable substance although it feels underripe.

    May 26, 2019 - My 46th birthday selection...enjoyed this wine very much.

It is not very deep but layered & complex... and the price is right .. blackberry, cherry stones, warm bricks, soil & some leather, soft spices -Pessac character truly shines through here!

Fine tannins & acidity. Medium body. Could go a few more years here.

September 5, 2015 - Blind tasting of Grand Cercle wines 2011 vintage: Part I (Château Bellefont-Belcier): Red fruit nose, touch of volatile but also a brownie aspect that pleases. The mid palate is juicy enough, with tannins slightly astringent with acidity marking the finish but overall a pleasant drink.

April 25, 2012 - Earth, red berries, cassis and spice are present in this medium-bodied wine with a tannic, cassis-filled finish. 85-87 Pts
