August 20, 2016 - Nutty nose, petrol, hint of paint... Nice sweetness, lacking a bit lenght, has become totally dry!!

November 27, 2015 - Christmas dinner at Søllerød 2015 (Søllerød Kro): Rich, but still strict and flinty in a very CsH sort of way; minerals dominates, I did guess Alsace Riesling, but the wine seems much younger, than it is, and the VT par is only detectable if you know the normal CsH. Acidity is still high, there are some smokiness and fullness her, but the precision, oh the precision ...

August 12, 2009 - Ok, now this is crazy. Originally open on the 4th of July, I thought it was just an off bottle. Muted and while it was not corked at all this wine gave the impression of being tainted by some wet cork like flavors.
So what the heck, I kept it open in my fridge with no cork/closure on it.
We finished the bottle tonight and this is amazing. Honey, petrol, ginger, spices, honey wax on the nose. Med body, med acidity, barely sweet, again same notes on the palate with a long finish on a refreshing bitterness (like a grapefruit). A few minutes after finishing the wine, I can still taste it. Amazing.
    Not for everyone I guess.

April 20, 2007 - Graduation wines (Columbus, OH): Just beautifully complex, heady nose of petrol and white truffle. Rich, ripe palate with an intense mineral backbone and lemon notes. Great acidity and backbone - will still last a long time. Wonderful CsH.

October 29, 2004 - Berlin offline. Pale gold, with kerosene on the nose. This is absolutely delicious and still apparantly youthful. Good minerality, muted citrus, very dry, full bodied and very long. Parker said "probably the finest Riesling I have had". It's certainly the finest I have had and the one that made me think again about Alsace Riesling. Thanks Charles. Exc.
