April 12, 2018 - On its way down, red and raisiny fruit, tannins are gone, the alcohol is already a bit disturbing. Okayish.

March 22, 2014 - Very pleasant. Good flavor. Chewy tannins. Not a lot of complexity. Tart cherry. Great "everyday" wine.

July 11, 2012 - Same as previous note. Drinking beautifully. Appealing nose with licorice, red fruit, some gum and vanilla scent. Fresh on palate, pleasant, completely integrated sweet tannins and overall rounded with a medium plus finish of chocolate and red ripe fruit. It just drinks really nice.

May 15, 2012 - Opened for 30 min and consumed over two days - with a 3 day span in between after vacuvin-it. Medium intensity nose with black ripe fruit, plum tart, black pepper, black indian ink and some incense-smoke. Day one not very expressive, shows much better on the 2nd day. On palate this is wonderful. It's fresh, it's mouth coating, tannins are present and noticiable but very pleasant. It's rounded, balanced and it drinks so well. It gives flavours of red fresh fruit, mineral notes with an always present tannicity that balances the freshness and acidity. The finish is remarkably long. Overall, while the nose needed some time to open up and was more expressive on 2nd day, palate stood up and showed to be much better anytime. Good wine in - again and again- a wonderful RdD vintage. The QPR is off the charts and smurfs the 2008 quality wise. (90-91)
