January 22, 2024 - Drinking as beautifully as it did over 4 years ago!

June 18, 2023 - Similar notes as previous tasting. Ruby red color. Black raspberries, black cherries and floral in the nose. Flavor like the nose with hints of minerality. A complex wine with nice structure, well balanced and a long smooth finish.

May 31, 2023 - Intense nose of morello cherry, medicinal herbs and cedar.

The palate has a silky attack, on a bright fruit with a nice freshness. Pinot Noir is easily recognizable. Then the characteristic maturity of California arrives in the second wave, it is rich, intense, but still slender thanks to a beautiful acid frame. Well-integrated light woodiness. It is balanced, elegant, but intense at the same time. Big finish where maturity is expressed on an exuberant register, in a “high density” way over a long length.

Excellent Pinot Noir, more in line with European standards than the Sine Qua Non that I drank 2 years ago with an exceptional concentration for the grape variety.

May 23, 2022 - Dark garnet, nearly opaque. Moderate complex aromas of black raspberries and black cherries, with sweet herbal notes. Wonderful full-bodied, rich, but round, smooth and balanced red and dark fruit flavors without significant tannin; excellent balancing acidity, slightly hot on the late palate and aftertaste. Drink now and over the next 1-2 years.

December 23, 2021 - One of the best American pinots I've had, now fully mature. Dark garnet, nearly opaque, with the slightest amber edge. Powerful complex aromas of black raspberries and black cherries, with sweet herbal notes, opened nicely over several hours. Wonderful full-bodied, rich, but round, smooth and balanced red and dark fruit flavors without significant tannin; excellent balancing acidity, slightly hot on the late palate and aftertaste. Reminds me of some of the older Dujacs we used to buy and loved. Drink now and enjoy!
