June 17, 2016 - Honking delicious Dark fruit and flowers in seductive nose begs you to take a big gulp and OMG what a mouthful--the fruit, the flowers fill your mouth along with a touch of candy all brought together, balanced and enhanced by acid, tannin and alcohol.
What a balancing act! What a success! I may have to finish the bottle... -

August 11, 2012 - Strange stuff, and I like it. Green roots dug up on a muddy river bank, bitter cocoa powder, sweet heady lilac and violet, plum/prune/raisin, talc/soapstone, a lot going on. Significant but smooth tannins. Almost too heavy, but kept afloat by a good dose of acidity. This is begging to be classified either as a train wreck or a daring success, and I'm leaning towards the latter.
