September 18, 2023 - On the downhill climb. Not so bad when you consider it is almost 24 years old at this stage. Catch it now for the remainder of its peppery kirsch, spearmint, garrigue, wild cherry, and spicy characteristics on the nose and in the long, kirsch and herb packed finish. Drink from 2023-2026.

December 25, 2022 - Came a long ways from the WS 83 pt review in 2002. Aerated into decanter sipped over hours. Nose alcohol! Taste plum, raisins, figs lingering. Hoped for lighter fruit balance but I guess it’s getting ripe

October 26, 2022 - Popped and poured into decanter and immediately served. Fully mature, nice but subtle nose and nice palate for about an hour then it declined rapidly. Drink up, seems to be over the hill.

October 2, 2022 - Still remember when I bought this bottle, about 20 years ago, Parker rated it with 100 points.

Recommend decanting the wine for at least 1/2 h. 15,5% Alc., fresh cherry red color, no aging visible.

    Nose: Ginger bread, freshness, raspberry.

Palate: Soft yet textured mouthfeel, fine red fruit primarily cranberry, harmonious chocolate on the dark side, very good balance, drink animating freshness. All in all very good, but miss excitement, depth, complexity and length for a higher score.

    Possibly already past its prime.

August 12, 2021 - Right on the edge of too much, but stayed on the acceptable side. Overall though, just not my style.
