August 27, 2015 - Pouring the wine into a lovely big glass you know you're in for something special - a very dense dark colour. Beautiful nose - strong berries. An opulent wine, concentrated and very well rounded - full of blackberries with some complementary spice. My type of wine that I would buy any time again. Wish I had some more !

November 21, 2014 - Decanted initially for 60mins which presented a tantalising nose of dry plums and spices but still very tight. By hour 2 the floral notes on the palate were evolving nicely with classic peppers and very dry. Not sure this is worth opening for at least 2-3 years. The potential is really exciting.

June 9, 2013 - deep dark ruby. decanted for 45 min, nose shows ripe plum, pepper and tobacco. beautiful tears, savoury, dark fruits, herbal, black pepper, leather, mocha hints, big structure, solid and powerful tannins, well balanced by fruity and earthy flavours, dry finish lingering for 1 min. complex and intense. great Waiheke Island terroir!
