November 9, 2020 - I tend to like Rieslings with pronounced citrus flavors, but this wine really has extreme citrus flavor. Combine that with a pronounced sweetness and the wine currently tastes like liquid lemon drops. We used to have cough drops when we were kids which tasted exactly like this. This is almost too much sweet lemon/orange flavor for me. There is lots of tart acidity too, great minerality and a waxy texture to the wine. On the finish, some interesting bitter orange flavors. All elements that usually make a great Riesling. I thus imagine this wine can still improve substantially with time. I really would love to taste it again in 5-10 years, but unfortunately we only had this one bottle in the cellar. - 91+ points

July 2, 2020 - Subtile mineralische Noten, am Gaumen spannende Melange von gelbem Steinobst, reifer Nektarine, mineralischen Tönen und vegetabilen Anklängen. Langer Abgang mit schöner Bitternote.

November 8, 2018 - Funny how everyone is so enthusiastic. I don't see eye to eye. I placed it in Rheinhessen at first, given the cereal tones and heaviness. There was too much sulphur on the nose and too much sweetness on the palate. It got better with air, but all in all it was a slight disappointment for this otherwise exquisite producer. Surely too young. A well made chop suey was the first thing that came to mind to accompany this. Hold.

April 13, 2018 - Light yellow with a green shimmer --- Nose muddy, north sea soil with some boiled apples, some citrus notes, herbal aspect, wild garlic, mineral tone --- Palate fresh, mild, crisp, nice mild acidity, nice citrus notes, some apples, some sweetness --- Finishes rather long on fruity aspects, elegant tartness and minerals. Very nice elegant vine, tasty.

February 6, 2016 - Absolutely brilliant. Full of tones of citru like orange and lemon with a super minerality emerging as a secondary layer. ovely minerality is emerging after an hour or so in the glass. With some additional rest in the cellar, this will most likely march forward even more. Exquisite balance and a striking acidity adds to the overall positive impression. There are enough texture and structure to have this wine develop for another decade or perhaps even longer.
