May 24, 2023 - birthday dinner at Higgins (Higgins, Portland OR): This was open and beautifully sour after about a half hour with raspberries, dark red cherries, cranberries, violets, earth notes, herbs, spice tones, licorice, and some plums. There is excellent depth and balance here that shows off the level of this wine. The Medium bodied feel is lithe and elegant with racy, medium+ acidity and silky, medium tannins. This is drinking really well right now, if a bit on the younger side. I can see more room for development and improvement over the next 5+ years, but I wouldn't hesitate to crack into one now if you have multiple bottles.

August 28, 2021 - Euming's 40th Birthday (Kingyo, Telok Ayer): A really elegant expression of Echezeaux - I liked this quite a bit. The nose was subtly attractive, with inviting notes of back cherries and berries, earth and spice, then a little touch of florals as well. The palate had plenty of finesse to it, with fine tannins and juicy acidity framing a velvety mouthful of dark cherries and berries, again infused with a nice bit of spice and dried earth, and then a trail of stony mineral running along into a fine finish. A very pure, transparent wine; this offered power without weight or effort. Still a touch young and primary at this point, but this has both the nice juicy fruit and a good sense of structure to age effortlessly for decades. A quieter, more elegant expression of Echezeaux; indeed, of the 2010 vintage as well. Very nice.

    June 29, 2018 - A great and elegant wine
Lovely color with a refine sweet nose sensing ripe red fruits and cherry aromas with a light floral tone.
The palate was very nice offering great fruity flavor, freshness, complexity and a nice minerality all finished with a good acidity and a long finish

    Definitely a wine to last

March 2, 2018 - La Paulée de San Francisco - The Verticals (The Fairmont - San Francisco CA): Tasting, brief note. In 12/11/10 vertical. Slightly reductive start. Red cherry and berry with very good balance and textures. Good enough weight, even if not quite Grand Cru density for me, especially vs most 2010s.

March 2, 2018 - La Paulée de SF Verticals Tasting (Fairmont Hotel, SF CA): 12/11/10 Vertical. The most stern and brooding of the trio, but also with the most pure black cherry fruit. Rather un-evolved right now, but concentrated and seemingly has the total package for long-term cellaring.
