    October 16, 2020 - Intense cherry-red with few evolution.

High intensity in the nose with aroma's of ripe cherry, vanilla, chocolate, ripe prune and yeast

A soft start on the palate. Medium tannins with a little bit higher acidity.
Aroma's of coffee, cedar, black pepper, chocolate, leather and blackberry.
    Long finish.

April 22, 2019 - Winery pour. Grumpy--harsh on the palate and a little green.

June 16, 2018 - Tasted next to 2015. Quite different, also stylistically. On the nose quite sweet and ripe, not much depth, spicy, notes of coffee beans and cocoa. On the palate again generous and a bit confected at first, followed by a rather drying finish. Lacks balance and depth. 85-87

  • Double-A Likes this wine: 85 points

August 8, 2017 - Spiced red berry with toasted nut and a whiff of leather on the nose. Med-bodied palate with balanced fruit and fine, firm tannins. Grippy, lightly perfumed finish.
    *09, 10, 11, 12, 14 vintage vertical - non-blind.
