April 4, 2018 - Very nice aromatics. Spice and cherry. Good acidity and nice mouthfeel. The finish was a little short as some of the stronger fruit has faded. Definitely time to drink. Nice wine.

March 7, 2015 - Deep purple color. Brooding aromas of black cherries, violets and wood spices. Ripe, thick fruit in the mouth with great depth and length. Very suave, complex and long on the palate. This is truly a "thrill a sip" Pinot Noir one of the best Kistler Pinots I have ever had. Still at beginning of its peak drinking period.

November 9, 2014 - 4th out of 5 wines. Deep, dark purple color. Rich and lusty nose, very ripe. Full and sweet palate with a rich and extracted mouthfeel. Well made but too big for me.

June 3, 2012 - Popped and poured. Deep red. Rich nose of various red fruits with a floral overtone. Echoed with very rich full palate impression but not at all astringent or over extracted as some Kistler Pinots can be, although this is very rich. Over time this develops a bit of heat on the finish but still overall in much better balance than Kistlers often are to my palate; confirms that this Cuvee is likely their most consistent.

May 19, 2012 - Wow! I grabbed this bottle from my cellar as an after dinner bottle, thinking a 2005 Kistler pinot was definitely ready to drink (which it surely is) butwithout realizing what a great wine this would and will be. This wine has improved considerably since my last one and taken on a ton more depth and flavor profiles. The nose exploded out of the bottle as soon as it was decanted. Huge wafts of blueberry, cherries and cedar come from this wine. After swirling, the wine coats the glass with long luxury legs that are a preview for the delicious mouth coating wine, which starts with a big mouthful of fruit and then evolves to flavors of spice, earth and caramel. One of the best Kistler pintos I have had in years.

October 30, 2010 - A lovely sipping wine; it is "huge"... Except my palate is changing. A year ago I would have given this wine 95+ points but not today. It is big and full-bodied with luscious ripe fruit. Huge in the mouth. If you like 'em that way this is a beautiful example.
