Community Tasting Notes 1

  • Matthesen Likes this wine: 94 points

May 23, 2006 - Medium ruby color – very youthful. Initially a bit closed, but nose opened to become quite exciting showing rich dark fruit, graphite, anise, cola, and cedar. Med+ body, med-to-high tannin, med+ acidity, med+ alcohol. Very young with lots of grip, but quite lovely nose and great fruit on the palate with excellent balance. Needs additional bottle age, but shows fabulous potential.
