May 23, 2020 - Drunk at La Taverna Hong Kong - A significant amount of volatile acidity on the nose initially which did eventually dissipate. Once the VA had gone there was a pleasant enough wine underneath. It's fully resolved and probably not yet in decline but hard to get too excited.

January 31, 2018 - Still extremely impressive with tart cherry, delicate acid, stewed fruit with an underscore of chocolate. There is a slight bit of green veg, could be confused with dry herbs, however still a quality wine and very indicative of Bolgheri.

November 7, 2017 - This had nice dark earthy smoky nose, dried leaves, tobacco, dried out old cigar box. Palate with a bit thin, a bit tart, tannins completely resolved, at the end of its need to age, maybe a bit past, but still lovely and was perfect with whole wheat pasta w/salssice and kale at Kali. November 10, 2016 - Not quite what it once was but this is all about the nose. Beautiful seductive and subtle. Raspberry and strawberry jam dominate all warped up in smoke and tar. You just want to keep smelling this one. Moving to the lighter side with a shorter dry finish. Nicely balanced but well past its peak. Great for the vintage and its still so pleasurable even after its long life in the bottle. Drink now.
