June 4, 2019 - The profile is basically the same as five years ago - restrained darkish fruit/flowers, black tea/dried leaves, stony earth - just lacking some of its original freshness and vitality at this point, although it does have decent acidity. Still characterful and enjoyable, but was better young.
January 22, 2016 - some mud , cherries and a slight hint of mint .
Served a bit to cold , but hey when I"m thirsty.
I drink .
The acidity is amazing really fine , and well dosed .
April 2, 2014 - Smells like black tea, flowers, spicy rooty slightly funky earth, and restrained elderberrylike fruit. On the palate, elderberry, flowers, dried leaves, and strongly mineral earth. Good combination of freshness and funky, earthy depth. Completely dry. Excellent acidity. Good mineral bitterness, especially in the finish. Has a general sense of authenticity and "natural" character. Good stuff.
February 5, 2014 - Earthy nose, tart fruit. Lighter bodied with soft, shorter finish. Straightforward and enjoyable.
May 17, 2013 - Funky, earthy, savory, good fruit, good acidity, good stuff.
April 21, 2013 - La quintessence du bojo de soif. Super minéralité, petits fruits rouge au nez, gouleyant à souhait, ca été un parfait compagnon à un plateau de charcuterie.
January 26, 2013 - Bicycle tube, cow dung and asparagus. Nice and with character, but a bit one dimensional.
November 22, 2012 - Drinking beautifully. Dark fruit, grapey, then a meaty, savory,smoky note. Finishes minerally with nice tannin and acidity.
There is a hint of funkiness there too. I really enjoyed this one.
July 22, 2012 - Mineral for sure, but a nice veil of savory flavors (olive, tea) put it over the edge. Beautiful stuff.
