  November 30, 2013 - Pear and a stony quality on the nose. Pear and lime flavors upfront, followed by green apple and finishing with light tropical fruit notes. Picks up some floral notes as it warms. Almost no obvious sweetness, just a softness and a richness with good acid structure. Comparable in style to a kabinett. Finish is well balanced with excellent minerality and integrated acidity. Has the structure to last another two years, but is drinking very well now.

  May 10, 2012 - Tasted at the winery. (0.5% RS, 7.4 g/l acidity). Light yellow-green. Big, but focused on the nose: stone, minerals, lime, then some tropical notes: banana. Quite austere on the palate: lots of stone, mineral and peach pits. Sleek and racy, but a touch bitter on the end palate and the finish is a touch harsh. Maybe this is just young and young with lots of extract, but it seems to me slightly out of balance. Pretty good, but not up to the quality of the fabulous 09's. Nose - 5/6, Palate - 4/6, Finish - 3.5/6, Je Ne Sais Quoi - 0.5/6 = 13/20.
