November 5, 2019 - Sadly I think this is on the wrong side of the hill. Still has nice acidity and the forest floor mushroom features are prominent. Fruit at this point is hardly detectable.

April 18, 2015 - A nice wine showing it's age. Aromas of cherries, some baking spice with a touch of damp forrest floor. Tart red fruits fill in the flavors. Decent length with good supporting structure. Not a stunning wine but a reliable Gevrey. Served blind, guesses nailed Burg, but not the commune. In a flight with 01 Bachelet GC VV. Paired with wild mushrooms a la plancha, duck jus, heirloom carrots, eucalyptus

September 2, 2013 - Seems to be in a good place, with a core of fruit and some spice and developing gamey aromas and earth. However there's a dirty, stale dishrag like aroma that was initially in the background and took over with air. Couldn't quite tell if this was lightly corked or had some other kind of taint.

November 27, 2012 - Youthful ruby color with just a nuance of fading; lovely although not exuberant nose of soft leather, button mushrooms, whiff of Gevrey spice, and a core of dark forest berries; silky, medium light body, long finish. Excellent and a great deal at La Grande Boutique du Vin in Beaune at $45.
