December 31, 2015 - Didn't take notes, but pretty decent as I recall. I don't believe this is one to let sit for too long.

    July 23, 2014 - Still good. But it's past it's prime. I gave it a 90 a little over a year ago.

March 20, 2014 - Good for the low ~$20 per bottle price I paid (i.e decent QPR), but no wow factor as found in the Napa Shafer and Longshadow Pedestal (Columbia Valley) Merlots that we really enjoy. Would have been disappointed at the ~$40 price point.

March 14, 2014 - Notes on day 2, which really makes a difference for this Napa merlot. Juicy nose of blackberry and smoke. On the palate, I get deep layered fruit including black and blueberry, black currant and a nice mouthfeel. I also get a hint of smoke on the palate. It's a wonderful example of how great a merlot can be.

March 2, 2014 - Please see notes from 11/10/13. Forgot to record a note, but recall similar thoughts on this fine wine. This was a steal on Lot18.com.

December 2, 2013 - Marred by too many off notes. Lacks focus. Smoke. Root vegetables. Prunes. Looking for more straightforward undeniable deliciousness and didn't find it here.

November 10, 2013 - Blueberry, smokey, plum. Nice nose for sure. A little tannic or astringent, but not overpowering and it doesn't last. Mouth coating, slight chalkiness, great length with ripe blueberry, raisin, and plum dominant. A very, very good Merlot. Exceeded expectations. 89+ pts.

October 23, 2013 - Not a good play on Costco's part, this wasn't a bargain, even at ~ $10. Homogenous fruit and oak, boring and delivering on low-expections. With this, there are no heights reached nor barriers overcome.
