Community Tasting Notes 5

April 20, 2019 - I think this one has done quite a bit of growing since the last note made here 5 years ago. This wine has a lot of very good structure, raspberry and bing cherry in the front, and herbal quality in the middle. Finishes with good acidity and grip with softening tannins. Not a lot of power here and was easily outdone by an Antikythera. Actually seems to be in a really good spot, not really too sure if this is capable of much more.

September 27, 2014 - Willamette Tasting (Knightsbridge - Northbrook IL): Tasting, brief note. Appealing floral start. Leaner red fruit, with perhaps a little more structure for that level of fruit. Best in the next couple of years.

November 28, 2013 - Well balanced and very smooth drinking.

November 23, 2012 - Did vertical with the 2010. Must say I prefer the fruit qualities of the 2011. Good balance front to back. Signs that will get better with time.

May 26, 2012 - Memorial Day Weekend & Eyrie South Block Reserve Pinots (Willamette Valley, Oregon): Barrel Sample. Very large, concentrated fruit aromas. Interesting fruit on the palate, which is very large, and doesn't feel all together. Strange texture. The finish is mildly grippy, but off balanced fruit texture. Odd and very awkward. 84-87 points.
