November 3, 2017 - Für viele am Tisch der Gewinner des Flights (mir inklusive). Viel Kraft gepaart mit subtiler Eleganz. Süße sehr balanciert. Immernoch jung. Kenne keinen besseren 1993er. Verglichen mit Cristal aus demselben Jahrgang deutlich überlegen. 96
December 10, 2015 - Dom Perignon Rose Dinner (Momotaro - Chicago, IL): I think this was just a hair behind the 1995 Rose P2 on this night. This reminded me a bit of bottles of Selosse that I've had; beautifully composed fruit/mineral/florals with seductive oxidative truffle-y tones. That was going on here and if it had just a touch more acid, this would have been the WOTN. No matter, I kept going back for more of this - the ultimate sign that the wine is a winner.
May 26, 2015 - Clementine peel, raspberry and dried gardenia. Still sharp. Wonderful wine.
September 13, 2014 - Incredibly complex and nuanced with layers of fresh fruit, floral notes, yeast, and more savoury, developed mushroomy and earthy notes all coming together seamlessly on a medium weight frame. The palate presence is remarkable, very elegant and glossy with gentle effervescence, though with air both the effervescence and acidity seem to perk up more. A compelling wine, easily the best rosé Champagne I've had.
December 9, 2013 - Wine of the night against some amazing wines. This is still very youthful, young, fresh. Lots of acidity. Long finish. Light in colour. Coffee, chocolate on the nose. Lovely fruit on the palate. Hint of coffee.
63% Pinot noir. 37% Chardonnay.
June 27, 2013 - HDH Dom Perignon Oenetheque Private Dinner (GT Fish & Oyster Chicago IL): Great light rose/salmon color. Good mouthful. Great nose and lasting on the palate. What a treat.
