February 18, 2020 - Quite good, everyone loved it over dinner following a short decant.

Well balanced, smooth, nice fruit and acidity. Mike and I both agreed that it's at or past it's peak and probably will not improve.

January 27, 2020 - Purchased this wine a little over six years ago. In a really nice spot right now. Served pop and pour, this wine was displaying kind of an awkward combo of roasted, spicy black and purple fruit with a weedy kind of character. The fruit seemed to be kind of young and sweet, bordering almost 'jammy'...first impression wasn't that great. After an hour, this one was rocking. Nose and palate of black fruit, black licorice, cinnamon and nutmeg. Turned darker in the middle. Finishes with good acidity, tannin softening but actually has great acidity on the finish and a nice black pepper bite. I think this one is right in the drinking window right now, but will probably continue to appreciate over the next 5-7 years. I think the 2014-2026 CT best window is shockingly right on the money although I will definitely say that this one probably needs an hour to stretch its legs before you dive in.

June 11, 2018 - Fairly typical Napa valley mountain vineyard cab
Would benefit from a 3-4 hour decant or additional time in the cellar. Just needs more time for all of the elements to come together/integrate. Could improve 2-3 points with additional maturation. Wish I had more to try.

October 20, 2017 - Needs every bit of a 2 hour decant. Medium bodied. Moderate heat detected early on. Certainly not fruit forward. Average finish. Should reach prime in another 3-5 years.
