September 1, 2023 - Had with grilled ribeye, pasta with mushrooms, and smashed fingerling potatoes. Initial impression was of an overwhelming burst of fizzy cola, of the "maybe this is gonna come out my nose" variety. After 30 minutes, things settled down. Vibrant red cherry with hints of sticks and turf. Quite nice and by no means tired.

September 4, 2022 - Medium-deep ruby red in color with slight clearing at the edges. Full, forward & fragrant nose of ripe fruit aromas of cherries, blueberries & strawberries with overtones of spice notes of cloves, nutmeg & cinnamon, orange rind, earthy/dusty notes, cherry-cola, minerals & oak/vanilla undertones in the background. Medium bodied with a very good concentration of well balanced & smooth textured, ripe red fruit flavors of cherries, strawberries & cranberries with spice notes, cherry-cola, minerals & a hint of oak/vanilla. Lingering finish. Drinks quite well at present but at 12 years of age it may be close to or at its peak of development.

September 12, 2021 - I had pulled several wines out on the cellar several weeks ago for a casual Sunday evening supper of grilled Salmon. Tasting directly out the cellar we liked the other choices better. I removed as much air as I could and put it the refrigerator for future evaluation. After a day of travel I uncovered it and filled a glass to let it air a bit, hoping it could accompany some turkey sloppy joe meal we found in the freezer. We were surprised how much better it tasted with some air and consumed slightly cooler.
Spicy, balsamic smoke on the nose; strawberry and cola on the plate; enjoyable medium finish.

August 26, 2019 - Apparently this was better than my last bottle. Full and new world but good balance with red fruit, cola, and a touch of herbs. Closes with a long finish.

February 14, 2019 - This wineis close to being over the hill. Better after a couple of days, with some cherry notes coming out.
