July 7, 2023 - Blackberry, red and black cherry, cassis, earth, herbs, a little tobacco, and some hard to identify interesting scents on the nose. Tart cherry, blackberry, cassis, red cherry, earth, and herbs on the palate. Low-med acidity, still pretty grippy, slightly powdery but fine tannins, Medium finish. Full bodied. This was great, but I have a feeling that this bottle might not have been stored very well, as it seemed a touch off.

January 2, 2023 - Consistent with last bottle although not as open even after a two hour decant. Beautiful wine

November 16, 2022 - This bottle drank fabulously. Small meniscus in the glass. Great mélange of black and red fruits, mint, and chocolate on the nose. Very polished and balanced in the mouth, good acidity, tannins resolved but a beautifully long finish. Took to Seattle tasting group Napa Cab event, and every person there rated it their top wine of the tasting, which is very rare. Drank single blind, opened about 90 minutes before tasting but it was not decanted.

December 5, 2021 - Very good. Probably didn’t need as long in the decanter.

November 18, 2021 - This wine is fabulous right out of the bottle. I gave it a 30m decant. The tannins are now rounded and have a subtle softness to them.
The wine looks inky colored. The legs are medium. There is moderate sediment in the bottle. It smells like fig, raisin, toast and black currant (cassis). It tastes like clove, stoniness and mineral. The body is medium/full. The wine has polished texture. The wine finishes long. The wine has medium acidity. Love the wine. One of my favorite vintners. This wine has roughly 3-5 years of life left, but I am not sure it would do it any favors to wait. Enjoy.
