June 25, 2022 - Deep ruby with remarkable clairity and a nice bright rim. Very expressive nose of sweet fresh licorice and pine forest. Palate is richly textured with currant and dusty bramble berries framed by well integrated oak. The finish is rich and long with good acidity and balance. I drank one shortly after release and thought it was lean but it’s plumped up and ready now. The 15.1% abv is apparent but not overwhelming. Delicious and quaffable as a cocktail wine and goes well with food;that’s why I’m drankin’ the whole motherfuckin’ bottle. Cheers!

June 30, 2020 - Dark Ruby Red color with blackberry, currant, cassis, and spices with an extended juicy aftertaste on the palate. Well balanced acidity and tannins making it a perfect wine to pair with a steak.

November 1, 2018 - Concur with decant comments. Shame our last bottle.

August 5, 2018 - We drank this bottle after 2 hours of decanting, and consumed it over another 2 hours during dinner. I was pleasantly surprised with how well this wine was drinking. Still lots of rich currant and a hint of licorice, with a solid backbone of sweet tannin. This was the first bottle we’ve enjoyed since purchasing it and we still have 5 bottles left. I think I’ll drink one per year over the next five years as there’s still plenty of life left in this wine. One of the better wines I’ve had in the past few months.

July 12, 2018 - Full throttle. Rounded. Integrated. This wine had all of the characteristics of a really nice Napa Cab that is right in the drinking window. Very impressed. This wine was a full bodied, throttled, high velocity powerhouse that seemed to go from black cherry to blackberry and cassis as it opened. Seemed to get MORE tannic on the finish after it had been opened for an hour. This wine has a great middle of some dark chocolate, cocoa powder. Finish still showed some oaked power. This wine has softened just a bit, but I think it has a good 5-7 years in it quite easily. Power and finesse. Excellent powerful berry influence. 9 years in and just now showing a slightly aged profile.
