June 28, 2022 - Yes, it is a 2011, but it is wonderful. A truly mature, somewhat lush, elegant and feminine delivery in the refined hands of Berthau. A red veering a tiny bit toward tawny, with a mildly muted nose with hints of dry cherry, ash and wood. A very refined Chambolle profile on the palate, with dark cherry, light moist soil, and some airy sense of leaves, but no green or bitter notes. A 2011 is not a 2010 or 2012, of course, so while the complexity was nice but not spectacular, and the finish a tiny bit short, it was a delight

January 1, 2022 - Medium + garnet with tawny notes. I found this interesting others did not. Ashy, stemmy green notes mixed with a dense red fruit core, coffee been and some typical Chambolle spices. Great mouthfeel, a little short on the finish.

October 28, 2021 - First of a case. Better than others seem to suggest, at least for me. Slightly muted nose but opens up far more in the mouth. Rich red cherry. Great length. Has some years ahead of it but in a great place now.

September 17, 2021 - Not lush but not green, just a slightly short finish following some very nice floral and spice elements underlying some pretty (red) fruits. Impressive particularly for the vintage.

April 22, 2021 - No detailed notes, but this was showing nicely. Didn't detect any green notes, thankfully. Pretty red fruit, and seems quite ready to go. A good, but not great, wine from Bertheau. Riedel Burgundy stems; decanted, but for some reason it was difficult to leave the very fine sediment behind.
