August 25, 2023 - Continues to improve with time. Still needs a hour is the decanter before drinking. Lovely wine.

January 1, 2023 - Very typical of Coonawarra Cabernet. Needed aeration and one hour decant to bring out the full flavour profile. Still has youth on its side but secondary bottle characteristics are on show. Will easily go through to 2030.

July 30, 2021 - {screwcap, 14.5%} The burnished tint at the rim gives away the age of this. Nose is developing, a mix of classic Leconfield asparagus and black currant fruit. Shouts new world cabernet, without too much oak. Black fruits with leafy interludes on the palate. Warmly alcoholic, low/medium acidity with medium dusty tannins. Medium weight, bit of a dip in middle of the palate, medium length dry finish. In a pretty good place after a decade, will keep another and moderate further, don’t expect more complexity or interest. I think! Some sediment, as I discovered eventually; perhaps decanting would help.

July 19, 2020 - The colour hasn't shifted much and is is still a deep dark rich crimson in the glass.
Aromas of green capsicum, some coconut from the oak and a touch of pepper. There's a hint of black currant before it gets more savoury with a little tobacco and a touch of earthiness. There's an acidity that keeps it juicy and some fine tannin that persists on the finish makes this pretty satisfying.
