December 26, 2023 - Nice surprise opening this bottle for Christmas Eve Italian meal. Balanced wine with good structure still showing some fruit. I would say it is on its way down. So enjoy now.

December 22, 2023 - This is a good wine at the end of its window. Opens up well with decant of a couple of hours. Earth notes and some dark fruits, but fruits in the background. Solidly made Brunello but not spectacular. From the second magnum of two. Probably an old WTSO selection, as previously noted.

October 28, 2023 - I don’t agree with the last review. This is high quality brunello that is drinking well now and may even improve with more age.

May 9, 2023 - A sacrificial lamb in my Brunello tasting that included some heavy hitters. I like to include "normal" wines in such tastings to provide a baseline and keep us attuned to just how good all the other wines are. In this case, I slow ox'd for about 2 hours and drank over 3. The bouquet was lightly off-putting from the beginning (again, relative to Madonnas and Montosolis) and the palate disintegrated by the end of the tasting. Literally couldn't taste anything. Drink soon.

March 7, 2023 - It was subtle, but I got vegetal notes throughout. Nice enough, but I suspect it was sub-par so marking as flawed.
