August 21, 2022 - Spiced start with mature black fruit throughout. Good weight and length, moderate ripeness on finish. Good now.

October 16, 2020 - Found a bottle I thought I’d lost. Lean and acidic, but plenty of flesh still on the palate. Orange peel and spice notes on the nose, with seemingly mature fruit notes on a fresh palate. Good length on the finish but less depth than expected. In a good place, but I don’t see the goods for “improvement.” Strong showing for challenging year.

May 29, 2020 - Drinking wonderfully right now. Age has given this wine complexity that wasn’t there a few years ago. There is still a zing of acidity that may make me hold my last bottle for at least 5 more years. Fantastic and open one now if you can.

February 5, 2020 - brought to an offline, served paired against a 2012 PG Freedom Hill. Interesting contrast, this was far lighter (in color, body, fruit, tannin and ABV), the Freedom hill was dark, riper, a bit brooding and with some big tannins. This was light, pretty, red fruit. Not much left in way of structure, drink up.
