July 31, 2006 - A handful of Italians, no Tuscany/Piedmont Allowed (Columbus, OH): Cloudy pink-tinted color. Penetrating nose with floral notes and canned mandarin oranges. Very different impression on the palate with odd, resinous, chemical cleaner notes. Short and oxidized flavors. Drinkable, but not a good example of this style.

July 31, 2006 - Italy is more than Tuscany and Piemonte, capiche? (Casa mia, Columbus Ohio): Cloudy and murky and hazy. Strong agressive nose - hung meat, solvents and pine tar rag. I didn't like, though others found it more compelling Palate did not match at all - little texture, thin acids, powdery resin. Disappearing finish with some sewer-y notes. Not a pleasant bottle at all.

April 16, 2006 - Tremendous nose, great wine. Wish I had more. Will age 10-20 years quite nicely. Best Tocai Friulano I've ever had!
