October 9, 2021 - With Vietnamese grilled pork chops, served in Zalto Universal stems. This was a stunner right from the moment it was opened. Electric and alive, vibrating and vibrant with a pinpoint precision and lingering finish. Right in the kabinett zone as far as balance of acidity and fruit and sweetness for me. Though there was complexity here, I thought it was more of a great guitar solo than the band playing. When thrown against the smoke and fat of the grilled pork, though, all the harmonics came out. Glorious bottle of wine, with personality and a high pleasure factor.

August 14, 2020 - Really good place. Definitely in Andreas's style. Flashy/still a bit fleshy/ great mixture of slate and candied pink grapefruit peels. Great acid. Really enjoying it tonight.

April 24, 2020 - With take out Vietnamese. Haven't had one of these since 2017 and honestly don't see all that much change since then. Maybe a little darker color and a few more mature notes coming out. Still quite compact, though with very nice flavor and aromatics. A darker flavor profile than some others from Adam. Good finish. It's stylish. I didn't pay as much attention as I probably should have - the food was very late and I was starving. It deserved better than the pounding I gave it.

December 23, 2019 - Drunk with friends, no TN.
Showing signs of evolution, more complexity and some weight too. Lovely to drink now.

September 14, 2018 - My wife's comment - tastes like apple juice. Consistent with prior bottles, this was over evolved. No acid presence and heavier on the palate. I like Adam's wine, this was just a bad batch. Dark golden color, sweetness was it's only defining characteristic. Had wanted to drink through them since anticipated the issue from prior, so paired with a Chinese orange chicken dish, since fried stuff is more forgiving with a sweeter wine like this.

July 1, 2018 - Cork was a disaster on this one, moldy under the capsule (leaker?) and disintegrated on the screw. Surgery was performed and it did finally emerge without many pieces of shrapnel in the juice. Again this wine was overly evolved. Darker golden color, heavy in the glass. Disappointing as I like Adam for the more assertive cut to the wines. Golden raisin, apricot, heavier glycerine. Served against a strawberry and honeyed goat cheese salad with balsamic, and that did ok, the sweetness of the wine was not out of place. Harder to hurt Riesling, but this seemed impaired. Poor storage prior to purchase?

November 23, 2017 - This has been a wow in the past but this bottle didn't have the kabinett "zip" I was hoping for. Purchased on sale at retail recently so maybe storage impacted it? Deeper golden color than expected for the age. Heavier/sweeter given absence of acidity punch. Golden apple, pleasant flavor profile. Dense, could last for some time.

November 9, 2017 - Have not had this for some time, and it had developed quite nicely in the cellar. The sweet stone fruit on the nose had mellowed a bit, starting to show little drifts of subtle white flowers, citrus and mineral. The palate still had some of the youthful richness of vintage, with sweet citrus and dried apricot notes drizzled with a bit of honey. Very powerful for a kabinett, but balanced by a deep river of citrusy acidity. Needs plenty of time yet, but this has always been pretty good.

July 15, 2017 - Excellent tension and cut on this bottle, without sacrificing a bit of richness. I was very impressed by the all around strengths here, there was nothing missing, all of a piece. Truly delicious and could have take the scrutiny of some discussion, but really we just slurped it up and loved every sip. Another bottle that had leaked a bit a week or so ago was also good. This was much better. So glad to have a few more. I think this is at a terrific place and will hold here for quite a while.

April 20, 2016 - Sweet peach, apples and apricots, some ginger spice. Far sweeter palate than the nose, but not cloying. Nice balance. Finishes sweet lime
