May 2, 2014 - Structured and complex with mineral, lees, floral, lemon notes. Leave it a few more years.

December 25, 2012 - The nose is showing more leesy notes now with a creaminess reminiscent of profiteroles. Peach, apricot, and granitic mineral tones follow with a pistachio nutty note that implies this wine is best drunk now rather than later. This wine coats the palate with a weight that few outside Condrieu can match. A beautiful wine. Paired well with turkey and enjoyed by all. Don't wait, pop the cork now.

December 4, 2012 - Faint but pretty nose of light honeysuckle, white flowers, palate is lean and lithe, with notes of dried pineapple/apricot, quickly transitioning to a dry, steely, mineral finish, with touches of creamy chalkiness; an elegant, and somewhat airy wine, though with plenty of interest and complexity. Sleek comes to mind, and delicious. A previous note tried to compare this to the Gangloff version, which is unfair - that wine is a freak (a delicious freak) with its wild intensity and depth. The Faury is not a wine for those seeking a more voluptuous style. This is the Hepburn of Condrieu - take your pick, Audrey or Katharine, while the Gangloff is Sophia Loren.

October 13, 2012 - Not my bag, but good. A bit chalky. More acidic than expected. Not as good as the Yves gangloff in side by side.

July 28, 2012 - Lovely nose - somewhat foody with honey and biscuit with mineral chalky notes. Soft, balanced. Long nutty finish.

June 7, 2012 - Beautiful nose shows lilac, honeysuckle, white peach and quartz and granite minerality. The palate reveals the intense weight for which Condrieu is known while showing ripe apricot and muskmelon in addition to the floral and hard stone mineral notes. I could drink a lot of this wine. Best now through 2014.
