January 15, 2023 - Primary fruit note is sweet apple on the nose and palate. It was sweeter than I would expect from a Kabinett indicating some residual sugar.

January 22, 2017 - Pop and poured. At home.
Appearance is clear, pale intensity, lemon colour. Thin legs.
Nose is clean, medium intensity, with aromas of waxy honeycomb, slate minerality, baking soda, bath soap, citrus lime, mild florals, slight petroleum. Developed.
On the palate, medium-dry, high acidity, low alcohol (9%), medium body. Medium+ flavour intensity, with flavours of honey, citrus lemon-lime, green guava, nectarine, slate minerality, waxy soapy floral spice, light touch of petroleum. Long finish.
Very good quality. Puts on more weight and fruits with more air. Already rather complex. Acidity still high but waxy feeling towards the finish have me worried whether it can sustain. One of the really good Kabinetts I have had so far. Drink up over next 1-2 years.

November 26, 2016 - This really is a terrific everyday, high QPR offering to pair with spicier/exotic food.

September 18, 2013 - Vintage Imports Tasting (World Cafe Live, Philadelphia): Tasted this in a lineup of other St Urban's Hof and it clearly stood out as the best. In fact, it might be the best Riesling I've had. Explosive apple flavor really hits its stride in the mid-palate, and the slate and crackling acidity is a perfect finale. Amazing.

August 16, 2013 - Similar experience to previous note. Very nice. Wonderful stone fruit notes on the nose that almost reminded me of a white Rhone at times.
