September 20, 2015 - Cork broke
July 14, 2015 - This wine has been properly cellared - well, for the most part. It is past its peak. There is still some fruit present but the structure is gone. The tannins are very soft and it will be undrinkable in a year, I think. Some notes of cherry and plum. If you have it, drink it. Today!
March 29, 2014 - Shared with pat, adele, Mario, rocco, Gina and Mario's cousin from Montreal. Dark plum color. Very aromtic floral nose. Light body. Some leather but classy nonetheless. Still needs to integrate some acid. Not headed for greatness but very enjoyable. My bottle had no sediment. Barrel differences?
December 24, 2011 - - Garnet color with medium forming legs with a medium/full body - Last bottle and shows no sign of being past it's prime. Lots of sediment so handle with care, but very smooth and full bodied.
May 21, 2010 - Brick in color. Lots of sediment, so be sure to decant with a screen. Lovely oak overones - figures with almost two years of aging in new French oak . Crafted wine with considerable depth. SO very glad I have another bottle to drink...maybe in another two to three years. Among the top ten wines we've ever had. Held up to that grilled marinated filet beautifully. Silky beyond measure.
February 6, 2010 - Has improved since last bottle a year ago. Lots of sediment.
May 6, 2009 - Deep, dark color. Threw a ton of sediment, very fine grainy sediment. Had more structure and balance than most Cal cabs in this price range with more reserved fruit. Very good.
February 16, 2009 - very good
March 31, 2008 - Watery, with just a hint of the fruit that it should have had. Maybe this will open up, but right now it seems very "past it". In the end these were quite ordinary.
December 20, 2007 - Tasty, with medium weight plum and cassis flavors, and a hint of brett. Drink or hold.
