February 28, 2018 - Ok but past its prime. Garnet and purple core. Cherry berry with oak and quickly loosening character. Good for Pizza pal
October 20, 2016 - I did not care for this at all. All tannin and no flavor. After the first glass I froze the rest to put in stew.
February 14, 2016 - The wine has medium acidity. It smells like cranberry, tobacco and vanilla. The body is medium. The wine finishes long. The wine looks garnet colored. The legs are medium. There is no sediment in the bottle. The wine has angular texture.
June 5, 2015 - Excellent value grenache
December 28, 2014 - An excellent example of a Spanish Granacha that makes these among our favorite value priced reds.
November 20, 2014 - Decent.
November 16, 2014 - clean opening with great fruit/mineral balance.
May 20, 2014 - Powerful Grenache at 15% abv.
February 1, 2014 - I had a negative experience with this wine the last time, a hot mess. I guess it's official, this vintage isn't as good for me which is a shame because this can be a terrific Grenache QPR. In an attempt to mix things up I popped it open the day before, fed a glass to my neighbor, and put the cork back in. Good dark garnet/maroon color. Swirling around it looks viscous. Muted red fruit aromas and light toast. Palate is sweet strawberry and tart raspberry with significant oak presence. Mouthfeel is fleshy. There's a distinct resin note mid palate which doesn't let up. Medium finish but the lacquer remains. Two bottles remaining which are perfect for dropping on the counter at a large gathering of casual wine drinkers as I open a Corona.
Posted this note into the Wineberserkers Virtual Tasting Series Viva Espana supporting the Florida Public School charity.
January 25, 2014 - One-note flavor; lacking of interest; little nose. Would not buy again.
