September 17, 2019 - perfect level and cork condition, entering peak and still has a few more years on the up based on last nights performance. Very classic BDX cedar, cigar box, graphite and an underlying layer of fruit. Long finish. Firm but round and fine tanins. Everything you would expect from a great vintage and a good chateau.

January 1, 2019 - My best bottle yet. Let this one open up a bit longer than others. Very delicate and gentle at this point, with primarily secondary notes of forest floor, graphite, stones, some spiced cherry and current. Smooth finish.

May 28, 2018 - A bit disappointed with this bottle. Came across relatively flat. Heavy on the saddle and leather, with some rich stewed fruit elements. I questioned whether the bottle needed more bottle age.

October 27, 2017 - Pretty nice wine. Delicious. At peak, in my opinion

(Le Petit Cheval St Emilion) This is a little denser and more youthful in appearance again. Roasted coffee nose, very promising and fine, aromatic, minerally, smoky nose. Great freshness on the palate, ripe, finely structured, rather silky in character, but with very good substance enveloping a lovely core of tannins. This excellent wine demands five years in the cellar at least.
