August 22, 2018 - Horrid stuff. I have no words. Odd and off putting flavor and bouquet.

July 1, 2018 - agree with other notes that this wine is weird and confusing. air definitely helps a lot though. not sweet but definitely fruit driven. there is cardamom and other interesting spices coming thru on the finish. this feels like a hybrid between riesling and gruner really, and is closer to alsace in feel. all said overpriced and just good.

March 9, 2018 - Lots of waxy citrus notes, and vanilla. Continues to be a strange wine looking for direction.

February 28, 2018 - Served to Swiss Friends as a preventive strike before they could open one of those terrible Helvetian Chasselas (Aigle, Dezaley, St.Saphorin, Fendant & Co.) with the cheese fondue they were preparing. Luckily it did the trick and some more. People just loved this wine, said they never had such a good white wine - stop drinking Chasselas you imbeciles I was thinking...
TN: Very typical Riesling nose with minerals, white fruits, citrus, flowers, touch of petrol. Creamy palate, more Alsatian then Mosel, good freshness and length. I really like what Pichler put into the bottle here. Such a great turnaround in Austria after the glycol cleanup. I wish the Lavaux could also move away from the subsidized mass market trash to these kind of wines.

November 19, 2017 - concentration and intensity pushing the extreme. Tension to me comes less from acidity but more botrytis competing and melding with bitter and heavy minerality. Decadent in a sense but tense and difficult.
