July 27, 2008 - good wine for the money

September 26, 2007 - Decanted for 2 hours. Average Pinot Noir color. A decently dirty nose, with a few cherries and a couple more strawberries poking through. Cherries and strawberries on the palate, but not really on the finish. Very pretty on the palate, though; I almost don't want to swallow. A bit of floral is present as well. However, when you swallow this instantly turns dirty again, and rather dry. Tastes almost salty, and then hits with the definite taste of prosciutto 5 seconds later. Definitely better between hours 2-3 than after the first hour, as the fruit begins to reveal itself on the finish. This could still last 3-5 years easy.

January 11, 2006 - Raspberry-cassis fruit. Mouthfilling. Needs another year. Medium bodied with perfect balance. Nice limestone, dried rosemary and floral notes. Fantastic quality for generic Bourgogne Rouge

December 31, 2005 - Beautiful Bourgogne, best Pinot for the money. Huge Pinot nose, 2003 fruit concentration with ample acidity.

December 16, 2005 - Same notes as last; Mongeard Mugneret comes through again. This is the best Pinot under $20 2 years straight. Bigger than the '02 (as expected), but no fruit bomb. Lusty nose. Obligate cherry flavors dominate, but great balance.
