May 27, 2022 - Very interesting wine to remember. Cork crumbled but after decant and strainer, the wine was not adversely affected. Complex wine that makes you want to think snd talk about it. Tobacco, leather, smoke, sunset before rain on nose. Dark, inky color but not heavy. Again tobacco, leather, ink, dark plum, eggplant, black pepper and graphite on the palate. Complimentary to food (grilled burgers and afterwards assorted cheese plate).

March 27, 2021 - Ready with brief decant. Bold RR as expected. Black olive and raspberry on the palate.

May 29, 2020 - A round, polished, very nicely clean, berry and well balanced Syrah. Medium body; nice, medium+ acidity, slightly spicy notes, leather, delicate hints of chocolate. Closer to an Australian cool climate Shiraz than a Syrah from the northern Rhine. Good length. 92 points 2020-2025

April 28, 2019 - Drink over 3 days. First day was forest and cedar with initial sweet notes and balanced. On last day, wine became softer with sweet like marigold with cedar, mocha. Not overtly fruity. Enjoyed with mushroom risotto and babaganoush. Very excellent.

December 14, 2018 - Decanted off a substantial amount of fine sediment. Expressive nose that’s still fruit forward. Tasty, but for a seemingly full bodied wine, is a bit weak in the middle, with a short(ish) finish.

September 5, 2013 - Very nice balance and finesse, combined with lush richness in this cool climate syrah crafted from grapes grown at 1,400' by Bradley Brown.

June 19, 2013 - Been waiting to try this since I visited the vineyard and it wasn't released yet. Vineyard is sloped and with boulders. Dark color, inky. Beautiful nose, quite aromatic, I could just smell this. 27 months in light-medium toast French barrels. Not that you would know, adds to the finish nicely without overpowering. This is CA Syrah style, nice medium lush fruit and black and blue smooth layers, easy medium tannins. 169 cases.

April 14, 2013 - Big Basin Tasting with Bradley (FMIII in the OC): My favorite of the syrah lineup. Nose is floral and incense. Palate reminds me of a well build Mourvèdre and as Paul mentioned, a quality gaminess. Fruit is dark berry. Finish is terrific with incense and a charred oak note.
