Community Tasting Notes 1

February 16, 2013 - A fine bottle of Red blend. Dark Red Garnet in color, and nearly opaque in the glass. Nose was Black Cherry driven, but brooding and murky with some candy store smells, mixed with meat market...best I can decribe. Not bad, just meaty and murky. The palate on the other side was fresh and lively, and the Red berry and cherry was much lighter tasting than expected. Broad mid-palate flavors, some vanilla oak and spice on this one. Finish was strong but medium in length. Interesting! Not a boring bottle, and very food flexible for a big red blend.
