January 21, 2022 - Really high extraction, you can taste the ripeness of the fruit. Just a hint of roasted edge. Dense and weighty, minimal bricking conceals it’s age. This one has many decades to go before it peaks. I guessed 05 right bank…

December 24, 2021 - Significantly better than my last bottle two years ago and a superb showing. Quick double decant in the morning, slow ox'ed for 12h and then decanted again in the restaurant for about 45 min. Transparent garnet with thin clear rim. Fully resolved with superb balance of red and dark fruit, subtle leather and tobacco notes, very aromatic, barely medium body, light on its feet, elevated acidity, tannins fully integrated. Exceptional length - could still taste the finish after returning from the washroom to the dinning table...
If anything, one would wish for a little more concentration on the mid palate - for somebody used to bigger and riper Cabs, the acidity would seem perhaps a bit out of whack

December 7, 2021 - The 2000 is developing very well, remaining a few years away from full maturity but undeniably accessible now. The profile here is classic Palmer with a mix of red, black, and blueberries with lavender and cedar accents; an impactful wine, somehow still with a delicate touch. This has beautiful energy and depth.

November 22, 2021 - Outstanding Bordeaux that is just getting in the zone but has a long life ahead of it.

Color is dark garnet, but not inky. First inclination this will be special is the nose - an incredible perfume of violets, rose petal, orchids and deep, rich cassis. The palate retains the same lovey floral element as the nose along with rich tobacco, tar, and powerful deep red fruits. Finish is extremely long. There is a lovey plush texture here as well, but acidity remains well balanced and tannins have smoothed out nicely.

This is just getting into the drinking zone. It’s already excellent and I’m looking forward to seeing this develop over the next 20-30 years.

November 8, 2021 - Youthful relative to the others powerful, intense, dry, dark chocolately notes. Guessed 2000 left bank. #3 overall but was not in my top 3. DD Bordeaux 1989-2000 Lawson's Steakhouse
