February 26, 2024 - Golden color. Delicious floral aromas with apples, mang, honney, wet stone and some petro (diesel). Full bodied and mature in the mouth. The high acidity level adds a balncing freshness to the otherwise quite sweet wine (88 g/l). Good now, but can be stored at least another 10 years.

February 19, 2024 - Exotic, with lush mango and papaya, honey accents, sweet but with good acids. A bit much for me but well done. B

February 10, 2024 - This 2011 is irresistibly good. Mineral nose, lime, green apples and honey, on the palate petroleum, layers upon layers of flavour, peach and pear and high acid, perfect for spicy Thai. alcohol 7.5%, acid 9.5 gr/l, sugar 87.7 gr/l. 91p

January 4, 2022 - I'd echo the comments around cherry, which is something I did not previously find. There is something 'cocktail-like' about the fruit, which has sort of evolved into its own thing, but with that sharp acid and creamy texture. There is a roundness here that feels indulgent and I'm now treating these as cheese wines. Delicious.

(Leitz Rüdesheimer Berg Roseneck Riesling Spätlese) ($42.00) Oh, again. Steadily miraculous for three years now; a melting serenity, an endless length, and a firm pith of quartz and apple leading toward the deliberate finish, and an ether of apple-blossom breathes back to you; your Mom doesn’t love you like this loves you. And if you ever lost your soul, it comes smiling back to you here. For this gentle divinity, this focus and spiritual purpose, no “rating” can really apply – including mine. Hale, focused, diligent, of sweet good cheer. Not merely giddy, but calmly, wonderfully happy. +++
