November 8, 2008 - At a retailer tasting (Vintages, Concord, MA). Unbelievably rich. I have been enjoying the '06 Barberas in part because the forward fruit of the vintage balances nicely the typical Barbera acid - this one times 3. The style almost tips its hat a bit to Shiraz, but (well) beneath the rich cherries hides some Barbera typicity. Delicious.
